I had my interview with Schlumberger last month. It lasted the whole day and I spoke with 12 people. Initially, I had to give a presentation. The questions were asked during my presentation. I was really thirsty after talking with everyone. Some interviewers were tough, others were nice. It was a great learning experience.

I emailed the professor over the summer to see about getting a position in her lab for the fall. We talked about what parts of her research I found most interesting, and then she invited me to come in for an interview, where she showed me around the lab. And that was it.

The interview was more of an information session, and the interviewer didn't seem very interested in learning about me. The interview went on for two hours and even included a tour of the building. It was pretty cool to see what the interviewer was working on, but it wasn't a typical interview. I felt like I really had to push to talk about myself to get my points across.
