It began with a phone call, after which they shortlisted 4 people. Then came a 3-hour interview for each, split into 3 parts. The first part was a 3hr focus group with 7 people from different parts of the estates team to check technical knowledge. Next was coffee, a tour, and a chat with 2 team members. The last part was an interview with 5 senior university leaders and the Estates Director, who is my line manager.
