Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at University of Oklahoma.
Student Worker
The interview process was super easy and very straightforward. It didn't have too many steps, and they like to ask a lot of scenario questions to understand your thought process. Just be yourself and don't try to come up with an answer that isn't accurate to who you are.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in working here?
Student Assistant
I first sent my resume and then heard back about a month later. After that, I was interviewed by the Assistant of the Associate Dean and they told me they'd make a decision within two weeks, which they did.
- I was asked how I would manage team conflicts and office situations.
- I was asked if I knew how to transfer calls and how I would sort files and student papers.
Student Worker
It was a quick and easy process. There wasn't much to the interview itself. If a student wants a job with the university, they can usually get it. You mostly work with other students, so it's pretty laid-back.
- What motivates you to seek employment here?
