Technical

Got reached out via a referral from the tutor I originally had. Had a super quick 5-minute video chat where they asked about me and if I had the skills they were looking for, like deployment and stuff. It felt more like they needed someone for a specific task rather than a general teaching role.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

We had a structured online interview with the lecturer in charge and a principal tutor. First, I had to do a self-introduction, covering my background and past experience briefly. Then, they asked me some technical questions about statistics and decision-making on project investment. Finally, we discussed classroom management, where I had to solve some scenario-based problems.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Could you give us a brief background introduction?
  • Can you explain the difference between causation and correlation?

Presentation Behavioral

You first submit an online application on UniHire and Talloc. You gotta include a video less than a minute long explaining a programming concept, like I did with linear probing (hashing). If you know a current tutor, a referral from them can help your chances.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Could you tell me about your previous experiences?
  • Which programming languages do you know well?
  • For which course are you interested in tutoring?
