Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at University of New South Wales.
Intern
The recruiters were really nice and supportive, which made me feel at ease throughout the entire interview. They started by asking some general questions, like why I chose this particular position, and then moved on to discussing my previous experiences.
- What's your main goal for this role if you get it?
Intern
You have to attend a PD program for all 3 days where you will study soft skills like networking, communication, business writing, and Australian culture. Afterward, you will be interviewed by the development center staff for a 50-hour internship, and they will decide your function and how it will work after one week.
- What makes you want this job?
- Can you share an instance where you handled a difficult situation?
- Which skills do you think are most crucial for employability?
Intern
It was a fast and informal interview. Because it was for a casual intern position, I did not anticipate a formal process. Overall, I enjoyed the interview.
- Can you tell me something about yourself?
