The interview was a long day, about 6 hours total, with different groups of people interviewing me in 30-minute slots. I talked with management, Hall Directors who would be my supervisors, and other Assistant Hall Directors. Even though it was a long time, it felt like it went by pretty fast, and we moved around to different spots.

It was a very laid back interview since the interviewer already knew me from a previous job promotion. The questions focused on my leadership abilities and my approach to work/life balance. Overall, it was a good and not overly stressful experience.

The interview process was quite fast for a student, but it finished without any explanation. I was invited to an on-campus interview as a finalist, which I accepted even though it was a long drive and they didn't offer to cover travel or accommodation costs. The day went well and concluded with talks about the next steps, like a background check, references, and even possible start dates. However, over a week later, I got a standard email stating they weren't moving forward with my application. While I understand and respect their decision, I would have expected a phone call to deliver this news as a finalist. I replied to the email asking for feedback on areas for improvement, but I never heard back. Ultimately, it was a disappointing experience, and because of it, I won't be considering future openings there.
