Applied online, then had an onsite visit where I met with other students, the department, and toured the campus. I discussed research with several potential advisors. They also drove me around town to look at apartments. I had a nice lunch with current students to learn about the program. Then, I had a Zoom call with the advisor and another meeting in the advisor's lab with current students.
