First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
Auditor
The interview was a one-on-one. The staff member was polite, on time and attentive. I think the experience was as to be expected by an academic medical center Sunco as UMDNJ. The interview lasted 45 minutes. I was thanked for my time and told I would be called within a few days with an offer.
- In five years, where do you see your career path heading?
User Support Specialist
The interview process is pretty standard. You apply online and if HR approves, your application is sent to the hiring manager. Everything is handled electronically, from scheduling interviews to the final hiring decision, all done via email. My interview involved speaking with the hiring manager and the Director on the same day. Depending on how much they like you, you might have to go through several interviews since UMDNJ has many managers. It took about 2 months to get the offer, but hiring seems to be quicker nowadays.
- Where do you see your career in the next decade?
Project Manager
HR reached out to confirm my availability for an interview with the Associate Dean and IT Director over the phone. The actual interview took place on the scheduled day and lasted a bit over an hour. After that, the Associate Dean requested some sample work, which I submitted online. I received a job offer about a week later. While HR wasn't directly involved in the interview itself, they handled the paperwork, onboarding, and kept track of my records.
- Can you tell me about your background and experience in Project Management?
- Do you have any sample project documents you can share?
IT Specialist
The interview was pretty straightforward. They were interested in my background and my education. No technical questions were asked, but they did want to hear about my experience in the healthcare industry.
- Tell me about your experience working with medical professionals.
