I had a panel interview where I met with three people. They were all very pleasant. The questions focused on my understanding of the school and the specific department, as well as the job itself. Some questions were open-ended, and others were scenario-based.

First, UHV conducts a phone interview. If you meet other benchmarks and the Chair of the search committee is in favor, the Dean of the school will reach out to see if you are interested in a face-to-face interview. If you accept, they'll cover your travel costs, and then you'll interview with the search committee, followed by meetings with the Dean and the Provost. They might seek a verbal commitment if your interview went well. The Dean typically has the final decision on hiring and compensation.
