Behavioral Presentation

If your resume gets picked, it's a 2 to 3 step process. First up is the phone interview. If you ace that, you'll be invited for an in-person interview. For the in-person part, you'll need to prep a 5-10 minute presentation about the university admissions process. They want you to act like you're the EMC talking to potential students. After your presentation, there's a Q&A with the hiring committee, and then a one-on-one chat with your future direct boss. Typically, there are about four people on the hiring committee. During the presentation, all EMCs (your potential future colleagues) are welcome to attend, even if they aren't on the hiring committee. These EMCs will also judge your presentation skills and give their feedback to the hiring committee.

Coding

I had a two-round interview process. The first round involved a coding question that I could solve within a day. The second round was another coding question that took me three days to complete and submit. This experience was great because I could show my talent and I got the job over many other students. It really changed my career path, helped me grow professionally, and get used to the American work culture.

Behavioral Presentation

It was a face-to-face interview, then a second interview. After that, I got a phone call from HR with an offer, and I started two weeks later. The interviewer was very personable and the process was easy. I got a tour around the department and was introduced to other co-workers. I was also given some information on what they do, including a quick review of benefits.

I just filled out a TA application form. Later, my adviser called me about it. We met in his office where he asked me several questions about the subject matter and my teaching experiences. He wanted to gauge my dedication to the subject. I tried to present myself positively, as this would be my first time teaching.
