The interview process really depends on who you'd be working with. For this particular position, I applied and then got a call for an interview about a month later. A few weeks after that, I received an offer. The whole thing was pretty straightforward and done completely online.

So the interview for this Data Science job usually goes like this: First, they look at your application and resume to see if your background and skills match what they need. Then, a recruiter or hiring manager will give you a quick call or video chat to talk about your experience and why you want this data science role. They might ask some basic tech questions too. After that, you might have to do a technical test or a coding challenge where you solve data problems or write code in Python or R. Then, there's usually a first-round technical interview with someone from the data science team where you'll discuss how you approach problems, data stuff, and machine learning. Finally, there's a behavioral interview to check out your soft skills, how you communicate, and if you'd fit in. They'll ask about how you've worked with others and solved problems in a team.

After we greeted and introduced ourselves, the interviewers started asking questions they had prepared. Three interviewers were present. The main supervisor led the questioning, while the others mostly listened, took notes, and answered questions when asked.

The interview was pretty chill and friendly. They asked standard questions about my background and experience. It's a shame I didn't get the job, especially because they seemed too focused on specific subject matter experience, which was disappointing. It was an easy and friendly vibe. They went over my experience and similar things. Too bad about not getting the job though. Focusing too much on subject matter experience was the letdown.
