Student Manager
Our hiring process goes like this: you apply, then interview, and then there's a tryout. The interview part has about 4-5 staff members (like DOBO, GAs, and managers) who will ask you some basic questions. After the tryout, they'll let you know their final decision and give you feedback.

The interview was very casual, not too intense or formal. It felt like a couple of people just hanging out and seeing if it's a good fit. It was more about the vibe than grilling you with tough questions. You can totally be yourself and see how it goes. Honestly, those are sometimes the best kinds of conversations to have.

Manager
It was an audio-only panel interview, had like 8-10 people. Super disconcerting experience. Like if you're interested in me, put me in a room with the interviewing party. One person wasn't even listening and asked questions that were already answered. I declined moving forward because of that.

The process was really long, I felt like I met everyone. The third interview involved meeting 12 people in one day, which I wasn't expecting. There were at least two weeks between each of the three interviews. It started with a short phone screen, less than 15 minutes, and then two full days of on-site interviews. It was pretty frustrating, and the only explanation I got was that higher education moves slower. The people I would have worked with directly seemed great, but management wasn't very upfront about things. Salary wasn't discussed, so I just assumed it was in line with what I'd put on my application. You know what they say about assuming. Compared to the drawn-out interview process, the offer part happens much quicker. Surprisingly, they hardly do a background check and there's no drug test. It's a very liberal environment, I guess, but disappointing regarding employment verification.
