First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at University of Dallas.
Student Worker
The interview was based on your previous working skills and your undergraduate course. You'll need to be extra hardworking for the position. It's basically about the student help they need, mostly during the summers or for college maintenance work. The interview was all about how you can contribute to the college's facilities department.
- In what ways could you contribute to our facilities department?
Assistant Professor
The interview process was incredibly disorganized and the committee members were very rude. We were given a list of questions ahead of time that they said they would ask, but they ended up asking none of them. At least a dozen illegal questions were asked, and they even referenced 10-year-old "Rate Your Professor" reviews. It was an awful experience.
- Might your political leanings be unsuitable for this institution?
Admissions Counselor
I had a formal interview with three current employees who asked me a bunch of questions. Then, I had to give a presentation to all the staff about something I'm really passionate about. Finally, I got to just hang out and chat with everyone who works there.
- Tell me about your dream career and your future aspirations.
Graduate Assistant
I applied online and then was invited for an onsite interview. The people I met were really nice and they went over the job responsibilities. I was then asked about my past work experience. I received an offer and accepted it!
- Can you tell me about your experience?
