Occupational Therapist
I had an interview last week and I'm still waiting to hear back about whether I got through. I'm having trouble finding anyone online who's gone through this process before and can share their experience.
- Could you tell me why you're interested in Occupational Therapy and specifically UCC?
- What steps have you taken to prepare for this role at UCC?
Student Services Assistant
I applied online and then got a call a few weeks later about a phone interview. The questions were pretty standard for that department. The first call was with a group of 4 or 5 people, and they asked the questions pretty fast. For the second round, I thought it would be a longer, more detailed interview, but it was actually really short and superficial, especially since they had already talked to people in the first round. It's been about a month with no update on my application.
- Can you tell me what diversity means to you?
- What's your approach to dealing with difficult customers?
- How do you determine your priorities?
Student Assistant
The whole thing from applying to getting the offer took about a week. They asked really typical questions, like about my strengths and weaknesses. They gave a clear rundown of what the job involves. They also needed to see my class schedule to make sure work hours wouldn't clash with classes. It was for sure not a casual chat, but it was formal yet chill. All in all, it was a pretty simple interview. I heard back from them a few hours after and they offered me the position.
- What's your strategy for managing multiple tasks under a tight deadline?
Fundraising Coordinator
They had a 30 minute phone call first interview with a group of about 5 people. Then there was a half day campus interview with multiple departments at multiple locations. It included folks that the person would be working with. They even provided a campus tour.
- What makes you want to work at UCCS?
- What are your motivations for applying to this specific position?
- Could you explain your understanding and commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)?
