First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at University of Central Missouri.
Office Worker
The questions asked weren't really related to the job itself and didn't seem to fit the position. They were more like statements. Also, there was a large committee for an entry-level role, and the whole process felt like it took a long time.
- How do you manage your work and personal life?
Data Entry Clerk
This was a pretty basic interview, the questions were simple and it was very conversational. The hiring manager was easy to talk to and the questions were easy to answer. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What is your major?
- Are you capable of performing repetitive tasks?
Academic Coach
I applied by submitting my resume and cover letter online through the UCM student jobs page. Then, I reached out to the hiring manager and scheduled an interview. The interview was pretty laid-back. She mainly wanted to understand who I am and what I'm about. I shared my previous tutoring experience and my dedication to helping students succeed. They offered me the job right at the end of the interview.
- What drives your passion for tutoring?
Office Assistant
I was in a small room with 4 people asking me questions. It was a very relaxed environment, and communication was easy. They asked a lot of different questions, but most were common ones that didn't require any preparation. Afterwards, I completed a typing test. I received a job offer the same day as the interview.
- What do you consider your best attribute?
