Library Assistant
I submitted an application letter and then got called for an interview. Several department heads were there, including a Deputy Librarian, and someone who was clearly a rep from the library.
- Can you explain the difference between a bookshop and a library?
Graduate Assistant
The department panel interviewed the applicant to check their qualifications. They asked questions about career goals, teaching background, French language skills, and postgraduate education. They also inquired about additional duties the applicant would handle.
- Tell me about your teaching experience and your strategies for motivating students.

I went into an interview with a group of at least 8 people. I had one minute to introduce myself. The interview felt pretty relaxed even though I was a bit anxious.
