It was a normal interview, not difficult at all. The interview involved competency-based questions and a test. They asked if I wanted to visit the office. The conditions and atmosphere were very good, with really nice and friendly service.

I applied online and then got an invite to interview from the Exec Support Manager. Before the interview, there was a 45-min assessment that seemed designed to test creative thinking and problem-solving. The interview itself was in-person on campus with a panel of 3 people. They asked very structured, points-based questions, and I had to give lots of evidence or examples from my experience. They really wanted to see that I'd researched the stakeholder and the institution's values.

It was really competitive, with many candidates for one position, all interviewed on the same day from 9 am to the afternoon. We started with a skills test that included Excel, an English test, and legislation. Then, we moved on to group activities, like building a spaghetti and marshmallow tower, followed by a group presentation where we had to argue why everyone in our group should get the job. About half the candidates were sent home after this. The remaining candidates proceeded to a face-to-face interview, with about 4 staff members observing us throughout the group exercise.
