The interview process was professional, involving interviews with 3 PIs and a Postdoc. I also asked some questions about living and doing research in Norway, and their answers were helpful.

The interview was online and required a 10-15 minute PowerPoint proposal presentation beforehand. Two panel members, lacking relevant subject expertise, conducted the interview. The lead interviewer made an unprofessional comment. It felt like they had an internal candidate, and despite promises of a timely update, no communication followed. Upon inquiry, it was confirmed the position went to an internal candidate, highlighting favoritism. This experience contrasts with my current funded PhD at another institution where my research is valued, leading to publications.

The interview was a single round, starting with a 10-minute discussion of a paper, followed by 20 minutes of Q&A about my PhD project and its relevance. They were very rigid about scheduling, offering only one time slot without checking my availability.
