Developer
It was a very positive experience. The interviewers were extremely friendly and professional, making me feel comfortable throughout. Even though I wasn't fully prepared at the time, their attitude inspired me to consider future opportunities. The questions focused on practical skills and problem-solving, showing a clear interest in identifying competent candidates with growth potential. Overall, this gave me valuable insight into the selection process and reinforced my commitment to professional development.
- What is your experience in the development field?
PhD Candidate
So first, they'll look at your application, like your CV, statement of purpose, grades, recommendation letters, and any test scores you sent. If you pass that, you get shortlisted for interviews.
- What's your motivation for applying?
Research Assistant
The interview happened ages after I applied. They didn't seem very interested in my technical and language skills that were mentioned in the job offer. What they really cared about was whether I was already living in Catalunya and if I was open to doing a PhD with low pay as a part-time research assistant, or if I was looking for PhD funding elsewhere and wasn't even considering this role. I looked into other options and then never heard back. I later found out they hired a university student who had less experience than me.
- Were you already living in Catalonia and were you going to stay?
- Were you willing to contribute with your own funds since your salary would not be enough to live in Barcelona?
- Did you want to pursue an academic life and a PhD?
Communications Manager
It was a call, they were very nice. It was an internship offer, they explained all the conditions. They were very kind to me, but I ended up declining the offer because I had a better proposal.
- What are your interests?
- What do you think you can learn here?
- What do you like?
