Behavioral Presentation

We had a general conversation about my research proposal and about 15 minutes about my personality. It wasn't too in-depth. Since it was an application to a chair, the focus was on addressing the professor's interests. The team had no input; the decision was entirely up to the professor.

First, you'll present your master's thesis. After the presentation, they'll ask a bunch of questions about your work and why you're interested in joining. Then, over the next few days, you'll visit labs and chat with professors to make a good impression. Finally, everyone submits a preference list, and if there's a match, you get the position!

Presentation Behavioral

The whole process took about three months from when I first applied until the interview days. Before you come to Zurich, you have to pick a Principal Investigator (PI) you'd like to work with, and they'll set up interviews for you. But before you even get to that point, you have to give a presentation to a committee who decides if you get admitted to the program. You only get a spot if you also get matched with a PI.
