First the hiring manager will give you a call and have a chat to explain about the position. Then, a technical person will interview you to assess your technical skills. After you get short listed, your profile will be marketed and you will get client interviews.
- Can you explain Java Script Design Patterns?
Chief Technology Officer
Started with a technical phone screen, then moved to an in-person interview. The interviews, each about 90 minutes long, covered technical and behavioral aspects to gauge delivery capability, and also included something they called functional screening. It was a tiring process and not exactly enjoyable.
- Could you share your greatest weakness?
Java Developer
It was just some basic HR questions, and they guaranteed me an offer after the interview. Because of that, I turned down other job offers. But the very next day, I just got a simple email saying they had already extended the offer to someone else. I wouldn't trust them even if they sent me an official confirmation.
- Can you discuss your past experiences?
Senior SAP ABAP Developer
Just finished the initial telephonic round. I have a 1-hour interview scheduled for next week. Hopefully, I'll get the offer! :-)
- Could you describe your experience with ABAP objects?
- What would you do if you encountered a poorly performing SELECT statement, in terms of your experience?
