Business Analyst
First, there was a 20 min test. Then, some behavior questions. After that, we tested an application. Lastly, I had to write user stories based on a website.
- What would you do with 1 billion to invest?
.NET Developer
Applied through indeed.com. HR called to set up a F2F interview. The interview process was strange; all candidates were interviewed at the same time in a conference room with 3 interviewers. Most questions were behavioral, with some scenario-based questions also asked.
- Do you feel you are better than an employee from Microsoft?
Technical Consultant
The interview process was a joke. The first interviewer told me within 5 minutes he was looking for someone with a more complete skillset and had reposted the job, which made me wonder why I was even there. By the end of that interview, he basically said I'd be a good fit if they didn't find anyone better. A week later, I met the owner. After that, I was told I made a good impression and would meet the rest of the staff and 'presumably' get an offer soon. This happened; I met everyone, was introduced as the replacement for someone, picked out a cubicle, and discussed benefits, but no offer was actually given. After a few days, I got concerned and asked what was up. I was told they still had someone else to interview but planned to hire me 'otherwise'. They promised to get back to me in a few days but never did. After 2 weeks, I followed up and got an email saying, 'oops, sorry, I wrote an email but never sent it. Best of luck.' I'm really angry. Unprofessional, immoral, disrespectful – it's unacceptable to waste my time and lead me on like that. I wish there was an agency to police this hiring behavior. Civility seems dead in how companies hire.
- Did they ask anything too difficult?
