Shift Supervisor
I went to an open house for the Shift Supervisor role, but I wasn't really impressed. The person asking questions seemed extremely new, like an intern. I have a lot of experience in assembly, welding, and fabrication, and I know I could do this job easily. However, I think my age was a factor. While it wasn't explicitly stated, I could tell. I've seen other experienced people not get a chance, even after multiple interviews, and they felt the same way.
- Can you tell me about your years of experience in assembly?
Buyer
It was a bunch of interviews over a few months. If you aren't in a rush to get hired, it's good 'cause you get to hear a few people's opinions about the job before you take it.
- What about your previous jobs and experience?
- Who can I contact for references?
- What are your core values?
Operations
The interview process with USSC was thorough and informative, and they did a professional job. The interviewers seemed genuinely interested in finding the right person for the roles and the company culture.
- What was the reason for leaving your last job?
Financial Analyst
So the first step was a quick virtual chat, like a conversational meeting. After that, I moved on to an onsite interview with the hiring managers. The building was nice and the culture seemed good, plus the dress code was casual. The first round was about 30 mins and the onsite was about 90 mins.
- Can you share an instance of a difficult situation you encountered?
- Describe a time you made an error and what steps you took to rectify it.
