First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at United Consulting.
HR Consultant
The procedure was clear and fast. Got a clear picture of the company and the role. There was a phone screening, an interview with the recruiter, and a second interview on-site at HQ with the loyalty manager and loyalty director. After that, feedback was given quickly with a clear and transparent salary proposal. Then, they moved swiftly to sign the contract.
- Why are you the right candidate for the position?
Staff Engineer
The interview process was easy and friendly, with options like Skype interviews available. They ask common questions but make you feel comfortable. The interview lasts about 45 minutes with the supervisor, and before that, the HR manager interviews you for 20-30 minutes.
- Can you tell me why you are looking for a new job?
- What is your motivation for seeking this role?
- What are your salary expectations?
Civil Engineer
I applied online for the Staff-level engineering specialist job on the United Consulting site. HR emailed me to schedule an interview. We scheduled it right then. On the interview day, I went to the office and met with HR. We talked about the job, and they made sure I got the roles and what comes with the position. Then, I got a tour of the office and met many of the staff, not just from my target department. Next, I talked with the head of materials testing. He went over the job duties and answered my questions about the company and the job. He mostly wanted to hear what I expected from the role.
- They expected a reasonable amount of knowledge about the field so you could explain the gist of the duties without them having to teach everything to you.
Engineering Technician
They will bring you in and talk to you about the company. Then you will get a tour of the building. The tour ends in the Materials Testing Manager's office for the interview. He doesn't ask many questions, he wants you to ask them. After that interview, you are outside. They might call you back with a job offer two to three months later, which is often too late.
- Tell me about your experience.
- What do you know about our company and its business?
