First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at United Allergy Services.
Clinical Allergy Technician
Applied online, got an email SIX WEEKS later to do a competency test online. Then I got an email to do a recorded interview online. Then I did a phone interview with the recruiter. Finally a face to face with the manager for the area. The online and phone interview were just questions getting to know you. Face to face was some situational questions, then a lot about company history, their values, etc. Do your research about them online, and memorize the RISE UP values! The background check is a nightmare. Hope you’ve kept every W2 and offer letter from every job since you were 15!
- Can you tell me your top 3 strengths and weaknesses?
- What do you know about our RISE UP values?
- What does our company do, specifically regarding allergy immunotherapy?
Clinical Allergy Specialist
I applied online and the recruiter reached out by email within days. We had a phone call that was more of a screening to go over the job details, emphasizing it's a remote role where the CAS handles both clinical and administrative duties. This call also covered my background and its relevance to the position. Next, I was scheduled for a Skype interview with the hiring manager. Before that, I had to complete an online recorded interview and some personality questions. During the Skype interview, the hiring manager mentioned that science-degreed applicants tend to struggle in this role, which was unexpected. Less than a week later, the recruiter called, asking about my experience, and upon hearing my concern about the manager's comment, assured me not to worry as they were calling to offer me the position. Following the offer, I had to renew my CPR certification, shadow a current employee, and then completed a week of training in Texas. The entire process from application to the end of training took 6 weeks.
- Tell me about your education and experience.
- How does your experience apply to what you know about this position?
- What are your career goals?
Account Executive
I applied on Jan 10th and a recruiter from Texas called me almost immediately. She then sent over the official job application and a personality test. After I sent those back in, I got an invite for a recorded interview where I had to film myself answering pre-recorded questions. I did that and a few days later, the recruiter called again to set up an in-person interview with the Account Manager for Feb 1st. I had the interview that Thursday and got a job offer the following Monday. Once I accepted, I had a lot of paperwork, a drug test, background check, and had to get CPR certified. I ended up shadowing this past week from Wednesday to Friday and I'm flying out to Texas tomorrow for training. Everyone was super helpful and I felt really welcomed, I'm excited for this opportunity.
- Tell me about a time you brought a new idea to work.
- Describe a situation where you didn't do your best work initially and had to redo a task.
Human Resources
I had a phone call with a recruiter to start. Then, I went to the office for an interview with some other recruiters and the main recruiting manager. It was a pretty standard interview process. But then, after my in-person interview, the recruiting manager took way over a month to get back to me, even though they said I'd hear back in two weeks. I tried calling and emailing them, leaving messages, but nobody ever got back to me. Honestly, just from that experience, I knew I didn't want to work there anymore. By the time they sent some automated email saying I didn't get the job, I had already found something else.
- Can you describe your experience working as part of a team?
- Could you tell me a little bit about yourself?
