Had a pre-interview call, then got an email for scheduling. Then went through 2 or 3 interviews with the staff team. Also completed a project to review skills that took about 4 hours. The vibe was super positive and upbeat throughout, making me feel like I was a shoo-in, but they ended up hiring from within.

Found the job online, sent my resume and cover letter via email. They got back to me fast saying they were looking at my application. Pretty soon after, they set up a phone interview, then two in-person ones. We talked about my work history and what skills I have that are relevant, but they also seemed to want to get a sense of me as a person. The last interview was a quick check of my skills. Once I was a serious contender, they did check with my references as a final step.
