The interview process was pretty unprofessional overall. The recruiter first said it would just be a chat with the hiring manager and VP of Product. But then there were more steps they didn't mention at first. When I asked about what's next, they were vague and just said 'we'll let you know.' After all the interviews, they asked for references. I asked the recruiter if I was the only one they were checking references for, and they said yes. Then, a week later, I got rejected saying they picked someone else, which felt like a lie since they told me I was the only one. A better process would've laid out all the steps from the start and been honest about the reference check. The people I interviewed with were fine, but HR wasn't.

The first round of the interview process involved self-oriented and behavioral questions. There were a lot of questions focused on group work, teamwork, and past projects. They also asked why I thought I should be hired. This type of behavioral interview asks for specific examples of situations where candidates had to use certain skills, especially soft skills, or how they handled certain types of scenarios.

I applied for the job online and then got an interview on campus. It went well and I was invited for a final interview at their office. The whole experience with Compusearch was great, they even took us out to lunch. I asked about the timeline for a decision, and they said I'd hear back within a week either way. A week passed with no word, so I reached out. No reply. Another week went by, I called and emailed again. Still nothing. After about a month of trying to get a response, I gave up. I was pretty disappointed by the lack of communication, a simple note would have been nice, especially after they seemed so great during the interviews.

The interview process was extremely disorganized and it took them weeks to respond. They flew me out to their Utah office for a technical interview that was conducted over Skype with a manager located in Virginia. The interview was very disorganized, and the interviewer kept asking vague questions that required very specific answers. Seeing no one else in the office was concerning, and it's clear why they are so desperate for candidates.
