First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Uniqlo.
Sales Associate
The Uniqlo hiring process for this role usually involves a group interview. First, there's a self-introduction where each person gets about a minute to talk about their strengths, what makes them a good fit, and why they're excited about the job and company. Then, a group discussion happens, usually with about 10 people. You'll get a case study or business problem, like figuring out the best marketing plan for Uniqlo or how to boost sales for a sports brand in a smaller city. The discussion is pretty open, without interviewers guiding it, so you'll need to jump in, share your thoughts, and really listen to others. It's important to work together and be open to different ideas to reach a conclusion. This part usually lasts 20-30 minutes, so watch the clock. After the discussion, someone might need to present the group's findings to the interviewers. This tests your ability to sum things up and present them clearly. Lastly, there might be a Q&A where they ask questions about the case, your contributions, or your understanding of Uniqlo and the role. You'll need to think on your feet and show off your problem-solving skills.

I got there a bit early to show I was keen, but they told me to come back right on time. The assistant manager was cool though, and the interview itself was pretty standard. They asked about my previous jobs and when I could work. It took them a whole week to get back to me, only to let me know I didn't get the job. I'm not sure why, 'cause I've got the experience, but hey, who knows.
