Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Uniqlo.
Store Associate
The interview process included a group session with other candidates. We were first asked to do a practical exercise individually, and then discuss it together with the group. They mentioned that the selection process involves multiple interviews and that salary details won't be disclosed until the final stage, which I found problematic as it makes it hard to assess suitability early on. They also require 24/7 availability and expect candidates to have no personal life.
- What makes you a good hire for Uniqlo?
Retail Associate
We had two interviews for this role, and both were group interviews. The first one was more about getting to know you and asking personal questions. The second interview was more about technical stuff, like how you'd handle certain situations, and they also asked about when you're available to work.
- What areas do you think Uniqlo could improve in its stores?
- Could you try to sell this down jacket to us?
- What information do you have about Uniqlo?
Retail Assistant
Since this is an internship, it was a group interview. They asked a lot of questions, but they were friendly. It was a pretty smooth process. Lots of behavioral questions, and they also asked about your background.
- Can you share an instance where you collaborated within a team?
- What motivated your decision to apply for a position at Uniqlo?
