I was initially contacted by a recruiter from Unily for a role. I had to withdraw due to salary, but was contacted again after the budget was revised. I proceeded with two back-to-back interviews, which went well. A final decision was expected by the end of the week, but it's now been two weeks with no communication despite follow-ups. This lack of transparency is contradictory to Unily's claimed values. While the people I met were professional, the experience left me feeling undervalued. An update would have reflected better on the brand.

My initial chat for the People Operations role was pretty disappointing. The interviewer seemed really distracted and uninterested, even walking around and struggling to find a quiet spot, which threw me off a couple of times. It would have been more respectful if they'd had the interview space sorted beforehand. While the interview itself didn't go great, I think it would have been better if the interviewer had been more prepared and less disruptive. After waiting over a month, I got a rejection email with no explanation for the delay or why it took so long. Overall, a really poor experience.

I applied online and heard back from a Talent team member named Jamie within a few days for a pre-screening call. The call happened a few days after. Jamie was nice, and I felt it went well, like a good mutual fit. Jamie said the Head of CS would contact me the next week since they were away. It's now been 3 weeks, and I haven't heard back from Unily, even after a follow-up email. While they might have moved on with other candidates, it's disappointing given Unily's focus on culture and engagement to ghost prospects. It seems their image might be stronger on paper than in reality. Quite a letdown.

Unily got back to me super quick, the day after I applied, setting up a pre-screening call. After that, I got to chat with my potential Line Manager. They gave me feedback the next day and then I had a casual meeting with the team I might be joining. Pretty soon after that, I got the offer and everything moved forward fast. Unily was great at keeping me in the loop, no guessing games. Everyone was really nice and happy to answer anything, even stuff beyond the interviews. It was all really positive and made me excited to join Unily.
