This was the weirdest interview I've ever gone through, though it seemed normal at first: recruiter call, hiring manager interview, their manager interview, and a work sample. The odd parts were the recruiter calling and texting before 8 AM and from a different time zone. The initial screener was super basic, the recruiter knew nothing about the role, and it only lasted 5 minutes. Then, the hiring manager, who missed our video call, ended up calling me an hour late for a phone interview. They then had me take an outdated IQ test instead of a behavioral interview, which was biased and ignored learning challenges. After that, I had an interview with the HM's boss, which was just three basic questions and felt like a sales pitch for the credit union, plus they used the phrase "open kimono." A few days later, the recruiter emailed congratulations and offer details, including salary. When I replied to schedule a call, they emailed back that the offer was on hold due to budget and they'd know more soon. A week later, the offer was officially pulled. It was a nightmare.

I got contacted by a recruiter and had a phone interview. Then I met with the branch manager and supervisor in person at the branch. After that, I spoke with the regional manager over the phone. Once the interviews were done, the recruiter and the branch manager followed up with me to go over the rest of the process.

First, I had to complete a weird online assessment that asked the same questions over and over. Then, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager who was really rude and condescending. She got mad that I didn't have direct experience, even though the job description said training would be provided and it was listed as entry-level. She asked about working Saturdays and got weird about my answer about my schedule varying, instead of just asking if I was willing to work Saturdays. She also started reading the job description when I asked a question about the role. Surprisingly, I got a second interview via Microsoft Teams with a different manager. They were late because of tech issues, but this manager was much nicer and more professional.

I recently had a really bad interview experience with the recruiter. It seemed like they didn't know much about the role at all, maybe they were a recruiter without any experience in this field. The conversation was super short and ended quickly. I never got any follow-up call or email after that. It was really unprofessional, and I definitely don't recommend this company. I can't believe they never followed up.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • The conversation was too short to even be considered an interview, and the recruiter was unprofessional.
  • It was a typical interview structure where the recruiter tried to sell me on the company, but they had no clue about the actual job.
  • They made absolutely no effort to provide information or engage.
