I applied online and then had a quick phone interview with a low-level HR rep. She then set up an interview with a couple other buyers. They asked 4 behavioral based questions and then that was it. They had me come back for another round, this time with 4 people. It seemed like they were required to attend the interview because they just read the questions off a sheet of paper and it is clear that they have no interest in being there. All in all, they seemed like a decent company to work for. I had a few other offers on the table so it was my fault for not preparing properly. The people I interviewed with just didn't seem too excited about their jobs and the job itself didn't seem too challenging.

I got referred to UNFI by someone who works there because they said it's a great place to work. I went through two interviews for two different procurement teams. I thought both interviews went well. After the first interview, the manager told me I was a frontrunner, but they hired someone internal with more experience. She was nice enough to refer me to a second team that was also hiring, saying I was one of their top candidates. After the second interview, which I also thought went well, I followed up with the recruiter but never heard back. While I get that hiring can be busy and that sometimes others are more qualified, ghosting candidates after two interviews is really disrespectful.

I sent in my application online. Then HR called me for an in person interview with the manager and lead Buyer. They asked some tough but typical interview questions. Everything was about my past experience. The interviewer stressed being honest to ensure I was a good fit. The whole process took about 4 weeks.
