I went through the interview process using the UNC Healthcare Jobs system. A project manager reached out via email for a phone interview, and we scheduled it by email. The phone interview took about 20 minutes. I sent a thank-you email afterward, and then two more follow-up emails at the one-week and two-week marks, but I never got a response, which was pretty unprofessional for a big research place.

It was grueling. To be honest, I loved it though. It took about 4 hours. I interviewed with several people. It was thorough but very friendly and laid back. I got to know each individual person on the floor. I walked through as though I was already an employee. However, it takes a long time for them to decide. They all have to get together to vote. I didn't receive a call for probably around a few weeks. Also, I called once a week to check in. Once I began working there, I was told that I pretty much was a shoe in from the start but their processes take a while, so be patient.
