Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at UNC Health.
Administrative Assistant
The whole hiring process took between 1 to 3 months, mainly because of the background check and drug tests, but overall it's a great place to work. The interviewers were really genuine and caring. I met with about 4 people, though it's been years so I don't recall perfectly, but it wasn't too tough. The questions focused on my past experiences and how I've handled different situations.
- What are your working hours?
Senior Executive Assistant
It was very detailed, they used a process called targeted selection. I had to describe instances where I made a decision, made a mistake, handled a conflict, etc. I was interviewed by nine people over about three and a half hours. A lot of interviewing for a clerical position.
- Tell me about a time you did something you were professionally proud of and explain why.
Administrative Assistant
First I had a phone interview, and then I went in for a group interview. It was me and three managers where we talked about the job and I shared info about myself.
- Can you describe a time you dealt with a challenging customer situation?
