Had a virtual video interview. At the last minute, someone decided not to show up. Overall, it was straightforward questions and answers about the role and my past experiences. They weren't very helpful in explaining what the role would actually entail.
- Could you tell me about your previous roles?
Physician Assistant
The interview process moved quickly. The recruiter was very direct, helpful, and honest with me, which is something that should be standard, especially for someone with ten years of experience in the field, but it's not anymore for PA/NP recruiters. I decided not to take the job for personal reasons, but I would have if I found the right fit with the company.
- What makes you interested in this particular specialty?
Medical Assistant
When you apply, there's a personality survey. Not sure about now. A phone interview happens first, then a 1-on-1 interview. Sometimes the 1-on-1 can be a group interview, depending on how many supervisors are involved with the job. If they want to move forward after the interview, HR will call to discuss pay over the phone. The hiring process went smoothly for me. HR explained their process from the start.
- How did you learn about University of Minnesota Physicians?
Psychometrist
It was an easy interview where they just looked at my past history and work-related experience. The process included a phone screener from HR, an interview with the hiring manager, and then an interview with current employees. They didn't ask any behavioral questions, they just wanted to know how my past experience would contribute to my capacity to work in the role.
- What are your methods for establishing rapport with patients?
