First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at UMortgage.
Salesforce Administrator
The interview had 2 calls. First, the recruiter asked some behavioral questions. Then, the hiring manager asked a few technical ones. It was an easy interview overall. However, it took several days to get a decision, and I had to follow up a couple of times.
- Can you explain the distinction between a role and a profile in Salesforce?
Help Desk Analyst
The interview process was really bad. It was long and slow, and I didn't get any responses. They asked questions that didn't really fit the job or my experience. The pre-recorded interview felt awkward and informal. I waited months for a reply, and then they scheduled another interview way later. They need to make the interview process much smoother.
- Can you tell me about your past work experience and history?
Mortgage Loan Processor
First, I had a phone chat with the recruiter, which was pretty basic. Then, a virtual interview where they asked a bit more about my past work. Lastly, I went in person to meet the team lead. They went over the job details with me.
- Recruiter asked some very basic questions
- Virtual interview had more questions about my previous experience
- Behavioral questions were asked
Recruiting Coordinator
I applied on LinkedIn and heard back from a junior recruiter right away via email. We had a quick 15-minute call, and she moved me forward and asked me to do a personality test. Then I had a longer 45-minute interview with a senior recruiter the next day. A few days after that, he called me to say I was moving forward to speak with a director. I interviewed with her the following week for about 30 minutes. After the weekend, I got a call saying I didn't get the job because they felt I lacked industry experience. The whole thing took about a week and a half and they were good about keeping me updated.
- What motivated you to apply for this position?
- Can you provide examples of how you align with our company values?
- Tell me about yourself outside of your professional life.
