Faculty
Communication was great throughout the whole process. The number and type of interviews were as expected. I got the offer in a timely manner. Everything went well and the outcome was perfect.
- What is your earliest start date?
- Could you describe your experience in this field?
Project Manager
First interview was on Zoom with three other candidates, goal is to know our career paths and basic informations. Second interview was a group interview. Just discussions pretty informal. It doesn't give you enough room to prove yourself or your points. Never heard from them after that, even though I sent a follow-up email.
- If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Graduate Student
The interview process was simple and straightforward. The interviewers were really nice and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me, rather than focusing on my experience. It was a very easy process, and I honestly wish more interviews were like this.
- Can you tell me what sets UIC apart and your specific interest in this program?
- What makes you the ideal candidate for this opportunity?
Researcher
They did a good job reviewing my studies and programming experience. I talked to the heads of research in the department. They got back to me quickly. I learned a lot about the studies they are doing and the materials they use. They gave me a lot of literature reviews.
- Did you take any R coding classes?
