First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at UGL.
Project Administrator
First, I had to introduce myself. Then, they asked me 3 simple behavioral questions. They asked about my administration experience and my experience using Excel, specifically how I would find useful data from a large Excel sheet and what my favorite Excel formula is.
- What is your experience using Excel?
- How would you find useful data from a large Excel sheet?
- What is your favorite formula in Excel?
Mechatronic Engineer
So the first part of the process was this like 40 minute quiz thing. It had some like, abstract reasoning and math questions. There was also this big personality test where you had to pick your top 2 choices out of 3 options for each question. Then the second bit was you had to record yourself answering 3 questions on video and audio. Stuff like why you picked the company and why you went into engineering.
- What made you decide to apply for this specific program?
- What was your motivation for choosing engineering?
- Could you explain your reasons for applying to this company?
Software Engineer
It was a straightforward process with some good technical questions covering my background and the technologies I've used. There weren't really any right or wrong answers, just a chance to talk through challenges and achievements. It was pretty simple.
- Can you share some challenges you've faced in your past jobs?
- How do you approach resolving conflicts?
- Tell me about technical difficulties you've encountered and how you dealt with them.
Project Planner
The interview was not good as the interviewer was not able to ask any relevant questions and the interview concluded without any result. I ended up managing the interview by asking them some questions and tried to demonstrate my knowledge and experience level.
- Can you describe your current role and daily responsibilities?
- What do you do in your free time?
- What are your salary expectations?
