Customer Support Representative
The hiring process kicked off with a quick HR call that felt rushed. The HR person didn't seem very interested and wasn't clear about the role. It was disorganized and chaotic, which made me wonder if they were looking for that in a candidate. Then, I got a take-home exercise with some support-related questions that weren't very hard or insightful. After that rushed interview and weak exercise, I was rejected without a good reason. It's strange to be rejected after such a quick, unprepared interview and a shallow assessment. This whole thing just showed me they're a messy company that thinks they're cool. Their website even looks unorganized. It felt like I dodged a bullet. I wouldn't suggest this process to anyone wanting a professional and organized company.
- Can you share some information about yourself and your past experiences?
Operations Lead
I got to the third round, which was with the founders. It was very direct, not much small talk, which I understand they are busy, but I'd expect some at round 3. One founder seemed really checked out, typing and not looking at the camera, which felt rude. I put a lot of time into this, and they couldn't give me 30 minutes of their full attention? They used AI for notes, so he wasn't even taking them. It left me with a bad impression, making me question if I'd actually want to work with them. It's a bummer because I was excited about the company. Honestly, for the first time ever, I felt really uncomfortable in an interview.
- What are your ideas for improving how account managers handle their call volume?
- What was the pricing structure for clients at your previous agencies?
Demand Generation Specialist
I applied on LinkedIn and a recruiter reached out to set up a call. The recruiter call went well, and they thought my web and marketing background was a good fit. They told me the role was contract with no benefits, which was a bummer since it was listed as full-time. I decided to see it through. The next step was a big exercise: create a whole marketing campaign for a demographic UENI wants to reach. This involved audience building, ad spending, targeting, mock emails, mock marketing materials, and a pitch deck. I also had to record a 5-7 minute Loom video explaining my strategy. This is a lot of free work, and I decided to pass on the opportunity.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- Describe your experience working with past clients.
- What kind of results have you achieved for previous clients?
Content Writer
I had 3 in-person interviews and one phone call, plus a written test. The interviewers were nice and made me feel comfortable, but they were definitely focused on results. They asked a good mix of questions about my past experiences and skills, as well as some technical and content-related questions. The only downside was the written test, which felt a bit too general and it was hard to know exactly what they were looking for.
- In your opinion, what defines excellent content?
- Can you share what you consider your most significant professional accomplishment?
