First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at UDC.
GIS Technician
It was a phone interview. It felt casual but still professional, and I had a good chance to ask my own questions. The interviewer seemed really knowledgeable about the field. By the end, I felt like I understood the job and what they were looking for.
- What's your experience with GIS software, such as ArcGIS?
Quality Inspector
This was a bad interview experience. The interviewer was fine, but I didn't get any feedback. The HR person said I got the job, but now she's ignoring my calls. Overall, it was a poor experience, and she was rude.
- Tell me about ISO standards.
- What is ISMS?
- Which QC Tools have you used?
GIS Field Technician
Had a phone call interview where I spoke with 3 managers. We talked about the job duties and my past experience working outside. They also asked how I felt about traveling a lot and working on private land and in backyards.
- Can you tell me about your experience doing fieldwork outdoors?
- How do you feel about traveling frequently?
- What is your comfort level with working on private property and in backyards?
Director
First, I had a screen with a coordinator, and we went through some specific questions. Then, I talked to a recruiter who asked general things about the role. After that, I met with some team members and the hiring manager.
- Can you describe your relevant experience for this position?
