Behavioral Technical

I interviewed with two people who are in charge of managing and supervising future interns. We talked about my technical skills, how I handle projects, and if I can explain things clearly. They really cared about my writing and reporting skills. It was a pretty chill chat, and we could talk openly.

Behavioral Technical

The first interview was online and mainly asking questions based on my CV and cover letter. Lots of follow-up questions on anything you say. A few past experience questions. The second interview was in-person, after a building tour. Here they asked much more technical laboratory questions and a few past experience question, and about one future question. You might feel like you're being grilled during technical questions but you're probably answering just fine even if you feel you are not.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

So, first there was this quick 15 minute chat, just to see if it was a good fit, you know? Then, I had to go all the way to Slough for a longer, 1.5 hour in-person interview. Part of that involved a 10-15 minute presentation I had to give. After the presentation, the interview split into two parts: a more formal sit-down with the supervisor and some team leaders, followed by a more relaxed, informal chat with the rest of the people I'd be working with.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • What were the highlights of your presentation?
  • Could you provide more details about specific items on your CV?
  • What are your technical biology insights relevant to this role?
