First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at UBS Group.
Assistant Director
There was a Hackerrank Test that you must pass with at least 50%. Then there was 1-2 Technical Rounds followed by a Behaviour Round and an HR Round. It was a very slow process that went into hibernation and I was not informed. The tech interview was not well thought out and focused on a specific area that doesn't really justify the evaluation of a candidate who may not have hands-on experience in that specific area, although it's not difficult to work if provided with an opportunity.

Intern
The process is pretty standard for a bank in the city. First, there's a CV and cover letter screening. If you pass that, you'll do some assessment tests and a Hirevue. If you do well on those, you might get invited for some in-person interviews.
- Can you tell me about your resume?
Product Analyst
I had an online interview with 2 line managers. They were mostly interested in my motivation and my skill set. We talked for almost an hour, and then I received feedback in 2 weeks, which is great considering that it was Christmas time.

Investment Banking Analyst
The first interview was with two junior team members, and then there were more interviews with more senior people. The first interview, they asked me to walk through my background and talk about what would make me stand out compared to someone who interned at Goldman Sachs. They didn't try to make me feel at ease at all.
- What distinguishes you as a candidate from someone who completed a summer internship at Goldman Sachs?
