After going through all 5-6 rounds of interviews, I was ghosted. The process included an initial HR screening, then meetings with the hiring manager, some team members, and finally the head of the department. While the communication and organization of the interviews were good, US Soccer seems to have a high chance of not getting back to you after you complete all the stages. I suspect the recruiting team is overloaded and unable to send rejection emails to everyone, which made for a disappointing experience overall.

You start with a quick 15-minute chat to see if you're a fit. If that goes well, you'll then interview with the managers and VPs. There are a few more interview rounds after that, but I haven't gotten through all of them yet.

I was excited to hear back from USSF. It would be a dream to work there. The recruiter called me back a few days after I applied, and I had a great conversation with her. She did a good job getting to know me and seeing if I was a good fit for the organization. I think she could tell I was passionate about US Soccer and would always do the right thing, so she passed me on to the hiring manager. I spoke to the hiring manager a few days later and could tell he was a very smart, talented young man. I could also tell he was kind of shaky and had something to prove, as he took things very personally for some reason. I mean, there's healthy banter in sports, but this is an interview. Although it would be a dream job, I'm not sure I would have taken it because it wasn't the leadership I was looking for, or rather, the leadership wasn't there. Otherwise, what do you need to prove? In the end, I didn't get the job, but I was right and glad I didn't get the job due to recent reviews, as others have also described it as a dream job but a nightmare organization.
