First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at U.S. Global Leadership Coalition.
Government Relations Intern
It was super quick, they asked stuff about my schooling and what I've done. The questions were pretty straightforward, they just wanted to know a bit about me, what I'm passionate about, and what I can do.
- What motivated you to apply for this role at USGLC?
Communications Assistant
I had a quick five-minute phone interview with the company. They cut me off when I was talking about the gaps in my resume and my work history. I felt like they were being disrespectful and mocking me, making me feel bad because I couldn't get my first job out of college and my background is in a different part of communications.
- Could you tell me what you know about our company?
- Do you have any experience in communications?
- What have you been up to since your last job?
Finance Associate
It was a weird interview process. Instead of having a planned phone or Zoom call, they would just call me out of the blue to plan interviews. Even when I told them they could email me, they didn't listen. Because of this unprofessionalism, I didn't follow up on the position.
- What makes you interested in USGLN?
Regional Outreach Director
I had a phone interview first, then a virtual interview where I had to create a presentation about a state outreach plan. The last interview was a hybrid one, partly in-person and partly virtual, with different team members.
- Can you explain your reasoning for targeting specific business sectors?
- What are various strategies for engaging with political figures in a hypothetical state outreach plan?
