Behavioral

I applied online and then about a month later, I had a behavioral interview. It was pretty standard, with a lot of the usual behavioral questions. I got an email saying I got the job the week after that.

Behavioral

It was a one-hour interview, and only one round. They just asked basic questions, nothing technical, mainly discussing my resume and past projects. The job is in Aberdeen, Maryland, and requires US citizenship. It pays well, but I'm unsure about return offers.

The interview process is way easier than in industry. You'll probably have to talk to a few technical people. Getting hired though, that's a whole other story and could take months with tons of approvals.

  • Can you discuss your experience with the specific project or skillset relevant to this role?

The interview process was pretty straightforward. It started with a phone interview, then I went on-site for a visit. The on-site included a presentation about my past research and then an interview. They also gave me a lab tour and I met with some senior folks. The questions were mostly about my research and what I know. Just a heads up, you'll get a lot of technical/scientific questions from physicists, chemists, and engineers, so make sure you can back up your answers with solid science.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Can you elaborate on a very specific aspect of your research that you might not have expected to be asked about?
