First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at U-Line Corporation.
Accounts Receivable Specialist
The whole process was like a job fair. First, they bring you to a room with a group of other candidates (applying for different roles) to do a “numbers assessment” on a scantron.. eg. “what is the next number in the sequence after 11, 33, 55, 77..” Next, they call you into a bigger room to interview 1 on 1 with the hiring manager, then they sit you infront of a computer to do a typing assessment. Lastly, you are interviewed by the HR manager
- Can you tell me your 3 weaknesses and 3 skills?
Business Analyst
I had an initial chat with HR, where they asked me about myself, my current role, and my analytics abilities. After that, HR got back to me a few days later and had me complete a few online assessments and personality tests. I also had to do some in-office assessments that were mostly math and statistics-focused, and then I had another interview with someone from HR.
- Is relocating to Wisconsin something you'd consider?
Sales Representative
First I had to complete 4 tests - a personality test, a sales style test, an aptitude test and a writing test. Then there was a phone interview, but they skipped it and went straight to an in-person interview. The third round was an interview with an HR representative and I had to do an in-person number sequence and number matching tests. A background check was also done.
- Do you have any plans for future education?
- Can you tell me about your last sales job?
- How would you approach a cold call to Loblaws, our neighbor?
Customer Service Representative
First, I took two number matching tests, each lasting 15 minutes. After that, I had a one-on-one interview where they asked me about my experience, what I know about the company, what caught my eye about it, and where I envision myself in five years. I also got to ask the interviewer some questions.
- Can you discuss your previous experience based on your CV?
- What is your understanding of our company?
- What aspects of our company particularly resonated with you?
