I sent in my resume and some extra info one day and got a rejection email the very next morning. Honestly, I doubt they really gave it the 'careful consideration' they mentioned. I met some of the requirements and had experience that fit the role, which seemed pretty entry-level despite asking for 2 years of experience. When companies reply so fast with a generic email, you'd think they'd at least give a reason why you didn't make the cut in under 24 hours. I tried reaching out to people who might know, but naturally, no one responded.

They had me drive 2 hours to interview with them in person, which was my only in-person interview during or post-Covid. They offered me the position on a Tuesday and gave me until the end of the week to decide. However, early Thursday morning, they rescinded the offer because someone else had already accepted. This seems like shady hiring practices, especially for a college grad trying to make important post-graduation plans.

The interview was good and organized, with interesting questions that let me show off my skills. The person interviewing me was professional, and made me feel comfortable for a good chat.

I was in a room with two senior employees with a white board. They gave me a paper with questions printed on it and made me solve the problems and write out code on the white board.
