I applied online and then waited 7 business days before following up. The day after my follow-up, I got an email to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was supposed to be an hour, but it only lasted 37 minutes. It was pretty casual and informative, and the interviewer was really positive. Since I'm a recent grad with not much experience, I actually enjoyed it. After the interview, I sent a thank you email the next day. I followed up again 7 business days later, and two business days after that, I got a response. This response likely included the background check details.

I applied for the Support Specialist role back in late 2011. The recruiter called me on November 3rd for an initial chat, which happened right then on my cell phone while I was working late. The company was in a hiring freeze, but the recruiter mentioned they'd be in touch once it lifted. Sure enough, on November 18th, I got a call back saying the freeze was over and they needed two supervisory references, which I provided. Then, on November 30th, I had my first interview. It lasted about two hours and involved speaking with four different people, including the recruiter, for around 30 minutes each. It was pretty intense and left me mentally drained, though everyone was professional and easy to talk to, with no trick questions. On December 7th, the recruiter called again, mentioning it was down to me and one other candidate and they wanted a second interview. I scheduled it for the afternoon of December 8th. However, late on the 7th, the recruiter called to cancel the second interview, explaining they were working on something for me that wasn't quite ready yet but didn't want me stressing over an interview I wouldn't need. The morning of December 8th, I received the job offer, which I accepted.

The whole process took nearly two months, and in the end, I didn't get an offer. I applied online and a week later got an email for a phone interview. Then I moved on to an online visual interview, but the interviewer was late and never sent the link for their video sharing program. I had to follow up three times to see if they had made a decision. It was super frustrating and took way too long.
