First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Two by Four.
Performance Media Associate
I had four 30-minute interviews on Zoom, one after the other. I talked to people in similar jobs, higher-ups, and even the President. It was mostly a chat about the agency, how they work, and what I could bring to the team. The whole thing was pretty simple and easy to get through. I liked that everyone was ready with different things to discuss.
- Even though I interviewed with upper management, the process was quite direct, focusing more on a conversation about my industry experience and potential contributions to the agency.
- Tell me about your experience in the industry and how you could contribute to the agency.
- How do you see yourself contributing to the agency?
Creative Director
I applied online and completed a unique application that asked some really thought-provoking questions, which I appreciated because it confirmed this was the type of company I wanted to join. Then, I moved into the interview phase. I had a great time speaking with two department heads. We had a really engaging conversation about advertising in Chicago and even the Chicago Bears! After discussing the important things and making small talk, they asked about my resume and probed about my work style to assess my fit for the team. I got a response fairly quickly after sending a formal thank-you note, and I received a job offer.
- Can you submit a selfie that represents you?
Account Director
The Ops Director got in touch to ask about my salary expectations after I sent my resume. I guess we were on the same page since they invited me for an interview with the Hiring Manager and Ops Director. I was told that was the last step and they were just starting the interview process, with the Ops Director to follow up on next steps. Then, nothing. It was pretty disappointing, but it gave me some insight into process and accountability.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
- Have you had experience managing people?
Intern
The interview process started with a phone interview and then moved to an extensive in-person interview where they asked a lot of questions. The initial application was also quite interesting, asking many seemingly random questions. I actually enjoyed the whole process. Even though I didn't get the job, I'd recommend it to anyone interested in marketing, advertising, or public relations. It seemed like a great company to learn from.
- Can you tell me about an advertisement campaign you admire and explain your reasoning?
