First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Twin Liquors.
Sales Associate
Had a quick chat with the regional manager and the on-site lead. Mostly they wanted to understand what makes you want to join the company. For instance, I brought up my passion for crafting cocktails and learning about various spirits.
- What is your motivation for seeking employment with us?
Sales Associate
Pretty straightforward. They're on the hunt for wine sales pros. You'll need to ace a wine knowledge test.
- Tell me about your experience with wine.
- How frequently do you consume wine?
Assistant Manager
The interview process here can differ between candidates. Generally, Joe Reynolds conducts most interviews, though some candidates might speak with Paul Gringrich. While Joe seems to be the main decision-maker for hiring, David Jabour has the final say on all staffing. After a successful first interview, there's typically a second interview at HQ to finalize things, and usually, a job offer follows if you reach this stage. For internal moves, whether lateral or upward, Joe might reach out via phone call, sometimes unexpectedly.
- Are candidates often asked to relocate for positions in different cities, given the company's philosophy of offering lower pay in desirable locations like Austin, which might not be acceptable to local candidates?
Retail Associate
The interview focused on my reliability, availability for various shifts, punctuality, ability to lift and move heavy cases (around 50 lbs), and my customer service skills.
- How would you deal with a challenging customer?
